Foam Celebrations Review in the Nightlife Guide
Put on your flip flops and slide into the craziest party in town!
You have seen it on TV. Your parents have warned you about it. Your friends are talking about it. It is the foam party. Puerto Vallarta is the home to not only one, but two foam parties each week. Each Tuesday Collage and Señor Frogs fill the dance floor with foam for your dancing pleasure.
Señor Frogs cordons off the dance floor around 11:00pm they begin filling it with foam. After they read off the list of rules and regulations for the foam (this will make your Mom very happy), including no drinks in the foam, no running, use the stairs with caution, no jumping into the foam, you can get in. The foam is dropped from a machine on the ceiling that spills it onto the floor like a waterfall. Foam is usually about four feet or higher and is replenished as it diminishes.
Collage also suds up their dance floor on Tuesday nights. They use two cannons to shoot foam across the crowd, almost like it is snowing inside. At Collage there are no rules for the foam party. Just remember, what happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico. Beach sandals are the footwear of choice for this foam fiesta.
The foam is water based and is safe for most apparel, but most people dress in casual beach wear; expect to get wet. What is the foam? Señor Frogs uses a water based compound that is non-toxic and hypo allergenic to make its foam. Despite this, do not eat or drink the foam. Collage uses soap to make their foam, for some good clean fun.
