No vacation is complete without a leisurely stroll through Vallarta's shopping hotspots. Downtown is your best bet: jewelry, art, handicrafts, clothes and souvenirs are all within a walking distance. Keep an eye on the yet-to-be opened (as of September 2006) Plaza Península, which promises to be a modern luxurious mall.
